DEC 6-8 Transforming Your Habits

Life's demands can sometimes leave relationships in need of a recharge. Even in the healthiest partnerships, work, responsibilities, and the hustle and bustle can leave little time for nurturing your relationship.

What couples need are opportunities to reconnect and strengthen the foundations of their relationship. They require a safe space to address their concerns, improve communication, and work together as a team.

A retreat designed for couples offers precisely that.

Our Recovering from Burnout retreat recognizes the pressing need for a dedicated space where individuals can escape the daily grind and reclaim their inner strength and vitality.

Burnout often thrives in the absence of time and margin. We provide a nurturing environment for participants to pause, reflect, and regain a sense of control over their lives. It's an opportunity to step out of the perpetual cycle of doing and rekindle your passion, purpose, and joy.

Transforming your Life Through Nurturing HabITs

Habits are the building blocks of a happy life. They provide structure, enhance efficiency, and empower us to pursue our aspirations. By cultivating positive habits, we can create a life that aligns with our values and brings us genuine happiness. As author of Atomic Habits, James Clear reminds us, “To love your habits is to love your days, and to love your days is to love your life.”

  • We want you to get what you need while on retreat. That’s why we offer a few additional ways you can experience the weekend. You can try any of these for however long you want.

TECHNOLOGY FREE RETREAT: This is the most popular option. Opt in and hand over your phone for a distraction free weekend and let us be your secretary.

We encourage all participants to take 2 steps away from their phone while on retreat if they can’t get rid of it all together. You will not believe how amazing it is to be untethered to your devices for a weekend!

SILENT RETREAT: Create an internal listening space as you retreat and spend the weekend in silence. You are still welcome to fully participate, to the degree that is comfortable. Take your meals solo or attend sessions but not share.

If you spend a lot of time avoiding your own work, focusing on the needs of others, this may be a good option to try. Great for therapists, pastors, and caregivers.

SPIRITUAL RETREAT: Use the time to deepen your spiritual practices. If faith is important to you, we want The Oaks to be a place you can connect and grow spiritually.

All of these are optional. Try one out and see what you think. If you don’t like it, try something different, or nothing at all.
